Title: End points on a Landing Gear Servo?
Post by: Papa on October 15, 2014, 12:13:20 PM
As those who attended the Pilot's Meeting saw i demonstrated a mock up of an amphibian retractable landing gear. I was using the stalling circuit to make it stop in the correct position. Andre pointed out that in his experience this can cause failure down the road.

Before I leave this and travel down a different path I wondered if I could program end points on the servo. It's a Horrison Hobby unit from a small Corsair. My second thought was to use the rotary flap switch on my Futaba Tx and just stop it when it reaches the desired position but this might just keep the circuit open?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Jack.
