Greg,

If no-one in the club can use it, I will take it the motor, de-gunk it, lube the bearings, clean it up and fire it up.  If it works, you can either re-donate it or I will donate it to Rudie Nagelmakers of Beeton to donate to a new member... so we can get re-invited to the Beeton Float Fly. ;)

I tried to sell the same engine, in working order, at two swap meets and it did not sell at the $15 asking price.  I donated it to Bramalea.

Your call.

If it is not raining tomorrow (Sunday) I will be at the Temac field from 9:30- 11:30.

Bruce,

As a last resort I can always offer the engine to the Metro Marine Modelers so they can use it as an anchor for a turning buoy on their sailboat race course. :D

How many cells is this good for?

Ive dealt with this type of thing before.  The batteries are still flammable but they leave an oily mess on the airplane. This alone is likely enough to cover the jump to electric power!
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?
