Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Thanks for the kind offer Larry, does it use micro cassettes though ... or the "regular" sizes audio tapes? (can't tell from the pic)  The tapes I have are "micro". See pic.

My mistake, I had seen a small tape at home here a while ago and assumed it was from this unit.  Upon closer examination I see it uses a regular cassette size tape.  Sorry about that.

I have this one and just tried it. The capstan' don't turn when the buttons are pressed but I can take a look inside if you like. Tapes may or may not contain delicate information regarding the Kennedy assisination.

But Colin mine has the information about the Kennedy assisination!
(Kennedy assisination tapes may or may not be included)

Oh and I got it working by "bump starting" the drive motor with a Dremel on low LOL
