Title: tomorrow

Colin;

Are you making it out to the field tomorrow at any time? It looks like it's going to be an outstanding day. I'm cleared by Andre to fly by myself as long as there's someone there who has their wings. All I need to demonstrate to him now is a take off from grass and I've got my wings. Unfortunately, the grass at the local field was too long yesterday for takeoffs.

Sorry I missed the last part of your presentation Wednesday. Awesome plane! I had to pick up Andre from Pearson Airport.

Thanks.

Eric

Hi Eric,

Sorry for the tardy response.  It looks like I'll be going up for between 5.30pm and 6pm today Saturday.

Colin.

Colin;

Thanks for getting back to me. I was out until about 2:30 but had to get home (I also ran through all 8 battery packs!). Glenn was at the field and gave me a hand.

How was the field?

Hi Michael;

The field is dead flat. The holes are still there, but don't seem as deep as before. Both my planes have 3" wheels and had no trouble.

Well, I got there at about 6pm and had the place to myself.  Not a soul turned up! [:(] Anyways, I put four more packs through my new 2.4Ghz radio and am well pleased.  Specked the plane out, not a glitch or hiccup.

Methinks its time to go to the second round of "testing" in something a bit "bigger". [;)]

BTW, everyone will be pleased to hear that those huge furrows caused by some big vehicle that was in our driveway are all now smooth and leveled. While I was there some guy with a buldozer came in and made it as smooth as a baby's bottom.[:I] If only he could work on the actual field! [:D]

All in all, a GREAT day but boy was it ever cold and WINDY when I was there. When I got there it was around 26kmh ... by the time I packed up (around 8pm) it was gusting to 45kmh!!! [:0] As you can imagine landing a 30 oz plane in that was a bit .. shall we say "HAIRY"??? And THAT would be an understatement.  Anyway managed to come away intact, thank goodness!

I'll be back tommorrow around 5pm! Who's goin'?? [:D]

Colin;

Thanks for getting back to me. I had to leave at 2:30 (I'd run all 8 battery packs out anyway). Today is Mother's Day and if I want Mother (Sheelagh) to still speak to me I'd better attend the Mother's Day dinner that my daughter has planned. Planes are great but they don't cuddle worth a darn; too many sharp edges!
