Title: Richmond Hill members at TEMAC
Post by: Michael on August 18, 2008, 08:17:01 PM
There may be a few Richmond Hill RC Club members flying (electric models only) at TEMAC for the balance of the season.

They no longer have their field, and this is a courtesy we are extending to them. Several other local clubs have done the same.

Be nice; we are always looking for new members for next season.

A very nice gesture.

I recall very well how Toronto R/C club dealt with the electric fliers that had been flying at Milliken park prior to their (Toronto R/C) moving to a nearby field.

They could have invited us to fly at their field.

They took the completely opposite approach, getting us banned from ours.

I agree about the nice gesture.  All the members at Richmond Hill were very welcoming to me when I joined there in 2000.  A few of us electric flyers joined and enjoyed the nice field and the relaxed atmosphere.  They even let the EMFSO hold three (I think it was) electric fun flys there.  Fond memories.

Welcome aboard RHRC club members.

I was there a few times and they are nothing but a friendly bunch.

Great idea, I hope they bring some extra tables if they are going a begging.
