Title: Flying - Wednesday May 6, 2009
Post by: Michael on May 06, 2009, 11:02:46 AM
The weather forecast is better than expected (10km east wind).

I'm going up to TEMAC for about 6pm.

Anyone else?

I could go today! Could you help me measure and confirm the throws I've set according to the manual? I'm not sure I was measuring it properly (from the edge?) or even if a few millimeters of difference from the recommended actually matter.

You would of course also maiden and trim her and I'd be just watching it.

The weather got cooler, but the wind at least was consistent in speed and direction.

Frank and I flew from about 5 to 6pm, and then more people showed up.

Imi Mann brought a new 6-foot Telemaster (which I maidened for him). It flew very well and VERY slowly. I think Imi will really learn on this one.

New member Sergio brought his new E-Flite T34 low-wing trainer (which I also maidened :)

It also flew very nicely; both planes are now trimmed and ready to fly the next time out.

New member Chi also came by and asked a few questions, and then everyone got to see me crash one of my planes! (Repairable)

Then I flew my Waterbomber for about 15 minutes and had a lot of fun.

I've got photos and will update the TEMAC website in a few days.
