Anyone know when the farmer harvests the corn?

As soon as it looses moisture ie is no longer green. Probably two to three weeks from now.

If it keeps raining on and off it may be longer as the ground may be too soft to put a combine on.

Anybody have a hair-dryer and some non-green paint?

Maybe next year we can convince him to grow cotton?
Or a rice paddy for float flying would be pretty cool.

Some of us were there on Monday. The corn was still there, most likely because the ground was quite wet.

Well it's November and there's still corn!.. A couple of us took advantage of the really nice conditions today and had a blast flying our planes. The sunset at 4:45 was quite a shock though. I suspect we won't have too many more outdoor flying days ahead of us for a while so it was nice to get out.

FYI the parking area is getting a little soggy, however the new driveway is holding up spectacularly!
