Title: flying this weekend? 23-24may?
Post by: patchwork on May 22, 2010, 02:35:14 PM
Hey guys.

Is anyone planning on going out on the 23-24? it is after all a long weekend.weather should be okay... if 3m/s is considered ok. I got my PZ t-28 ready... just need a new motor because the shaft is bent (dont know how to straighten) and im converting my failed tensor into an epp slowflyer thing (?????).
BTW: does anyone know how i can convert my t-28 to an HK motor... I am not too sure about modifying the motor mount because i have little experience with ply/balsa wood. any ideas?

Max,

Going with a HK motor in the T28 would require some experience as the thrust angles are pretty pronounced.

I'd say you just go and replace the motor shaft. Parkzone sells one http://www.parkzone.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=PKZ4418 and it shouldn't take that much to install it.

Thanks Thehaze, I didnt even know parkzone sold the motor shafts... I remember I searched for one around 2 years ago and couldnt find it.

I Got my t-28 running and im bringing it today... I'm going to test out a new rudder gyro from HK. hopefully the weather is windless at TEMAC...
