Title: Monday Night
Post by: Gregor77 on October 19, 2010, 08:32:41 AM
Hey where was everyone last night?  It was a perfect night for a couple of laps of the field.   Ken, Jeff and I came out for a fun filled night.   Jeff tried Collins strange foam plane.  It was too funny to see it in the air.   I was telling the guys that it would be nice to have a vintage air race class, similar to Formosa racing for 3 channels.   Nothing to expensive, but maybe copy a similar design and run a 2 lap race (due to the fact they are so slow).  If anyone is interested for the spring, we could put some simple rules together?  [;)]   This looks like strange fun for the TEMAC guys.  At least it might get us building a simple design over the winter months...

Glad to hear that Jeff had a good time with it! [:)]  I actually forgot to take my receiver out of it before I gave it over. [:0]  Anyways I've PM'd him about it.

That was an interesting plane... Made me think of making one myself over the winter.    It looked rather easy(if you have all the tools at home). [;)]  Collin... what kind of motor did you use in it?

It's a great little 150w HobbyKing motor - the model name is A22-10S 1200kv.  Much more power than is needed for that indoor slow flyer! [;)]
