Title: TEMAC Workshop
Post by: Gregor77 on December 09, 2010, 08:14:38 AM
Great meeting last night!  Loved the presentation and the video!  Good work on the show and tell models.  Looking forward to the next meeting! [:)]  We should make an effort to make some more video's or at least try to film more flying at TEMAC next year.

I think that's a great idea.

My new phone can take videos.

Starting this season, I will post TEMAC videos on Youtube, and post links from the TEMAC website.

There are a few VIDEO's on You tube at this time, but agree that there should be more!   You tube is the free advertising for the club.  It could bring more people in that may not currently be aware of the fact that the club exists.   I will be honest, I didn't know of the club and lived in Stouffville for 5 years.   I heard of the club when I went to the Seaton Valley Warbirds event, but heard of that from Ron and Dave.

Micheal I dont think a cell phone camera would work for RC flying videos. I've tried it, and you end up not being able to see jack squat. Probably better off with even an el-cheapo proper video camera that has a wide angle zoom lens.

Great Idea on the Videotaping. you can get pretty inexpensive micro cameras to strap on your planes and helis if you want. they sell them on hobbyking. of you can go for the more expensive option and go for a gopro hd hero, or a contour hd. but really if your plane is powerful enough, just put a nice shockproof digital camera in it and off you go. as for videos from land, im pretty sure any camcorder with a high framerate will work.

Hi Max

Haven't seen you in a while; it's good to hear from you.

Personally, I like videos of models flying taken from the ground.

I like seeing the model flying.

That's the kind of videos I'm hoping to take.

Are you preparing any new models for next season?

I hope you'll be joining TEMAC again.

Would anyone be interested in some old skool planes?   I have some that I think that I will not be finishing?   I could bring two of them in?  One is a playboy?  Yellow and red, the other is a trainer type plane, it looks very old.  $20-30 each.

I also have a GWS C47 (Green) and the GWS C-130 (twin engine) that I will sell for $75 each.  They are NIB.

Just want to make some room for some planes that I really like...

if anyone has any warbirds they are thinking of selling, bring them in!
