Title: Any get the new PZ Spitfire Yet?
Post by: Gregor77 on September 12, 2011, 09:06:00 AM
If anyone got the new PZ spitfire, I would like to get some feedback!  What they like or dislike on the model.  I want the plane, but there is just so much on the market right now, not sure I want another foamie.

Micheal had one at Beeton. She's a really nice looking plane on the ground and in the air

It looks good and flies well. Some tendency to nose-over on takeoff and landing.
My last flight at TEMAC yesterday had no nose-overs.
I just ordered the retracts and retract struts from Pinnacle.

Power is moderately better than adequate.

Any specific questions?

In your honest opinion, worth getting?  I am also looking at some of the FMS kits.  They seem to come with more bang for the buck.

It's a good value, but I've seen Simon C flying his big FMS Mustang, and that looks like a better value.

I wanted a smaller model.
The PZ Spit is very nice, but heavier than it looks.
