Title: Friday the 13th flying
Post by: thehaze on April 13, 2012, 08:18:30 AM
The weekend forecast is not good but today is looking excellent. I'm planning to stop by the field this afternoon. Anyone else?

Spent a few hours at the field this afternoon. The conditions were excellent. Got to maiden my Eflite Leader 480. It flew well, but it needs some adjustment if it's going to be a good aerobatic ship.

The drainage at the field is working well. The lower area has no more standing water and is drying out. Although it's a bit of a mess from the tire tracks and will probably need to be leveled out before it can be completely restored. The second ditch we dug near the road is working like a charm, directing water back to the creek. If we had not dug that ditch, I don't think the problem would have resolved itself by now. See the photos attached.
