Title: Build Quest
Post by: Gregor77 on August 13, 2012, 02:52:52 PM
I am playing a game...

Let's see who can build an airplane in one week and test it at the field this friday.

The rules are simple.

Must be made of garbage or left over bits...  Similar to a SPAD.

I have a big chunk of IKEA foam...

Oh you guys will be jealous!!!

Ok so I got lots done last night on the HE177 that I was making out of scraps.

I need to run to PIN and see if they have some carb rods for the wings and one for the tail.  The rest was from the bin.

I have the basic layout created.   I did some glide tests and it seems to float OK.

I am going to see if it flies in foam form first and then I might do what R pike said and cover it with balsa sheeting.  I can then cover it with monokot and paint it.

But knowing me, I will most likely add a bunch of detail.
