In the past a club without a field that we used to share a forum with had indoor flying in Aurora and Newmarket. They still are, but they are setting a limit on the weight (45g) of the models and the number of cells (1s only) used. I'm going to guess that the either the gym is small or they're still getting over the trauma caused by my eflite se5a slow flyer (220g AUW, 2s battery) which was proudly named "The Terminator" for the number of embers and vapors it scared out of the sky. So it looks like I'm grounded.

I'm hearing the gym rental costs have increased considerably this year, which might put a damper on things as well.

Maybe, if there's enough interest we could discuss a TEMAC dome fly?

I like the idea of making all the vapors into embers if you get my drift!  Ok for kids but seriously.

I'm guessing that with the limits that they've set, even profile 3d planes are out.

So unless you're into embers,  vapors,  and j3 cubs.  You are out of luck there.

Personally its not my thing.  Most of the umx stuff that is interesting to me is way too big and fast for this event.

I'll be looking into venues for normal-size indoor flying.

As soon as we have some ideas, we'll share them.
