I'm getting my ducks lined up for my next build.
It's a BUSA North Star kit.
Set Up:
- Contra Rotating Motor
- Rudder and Elevator servos in the motor pod
- Aileron servos in the wings
- Speed Controls in front near the battery in front
I plan to run extensions for the servos through the bodywork.
I will also be running extensions for the ESC's to the motors through the body work.
My servo extensions are usually solid telephone wire twisted to about 10 to 12 TPI.
My question is can I run both types of extensions through the same holes in the formers?
Jack.
If your making your own you can save work by sharing the + - wires with several signal wires.
As for sharing motor (3phase DC) wires with servo wires. I've never done it or heard of troubles. Might consider putting a round choke on those servo wires but from what I've read the biggest troubles is with high current power going to esc's being run with servo wires.
I have lots of shunts. Should they be located close to the servos?
Jack.
At the receiver. If something is picked up on the line you don't want to feed it into the power bus line of the RX
Thanks Ed, I meant Chokes>
