Title: Adding rivets and panel lines to ultracote
Post by: Bobmic on February 19, 2013, 08:36:24 AM
So I am getting ready for the next project nothing fancy like the pro builders around here but I was thinking of adding rivets and panel lines on a Hangar 9 P40 covered with UltraCote.

I read somewhere that I can use a soldering iron set on low temp with a hollow tube tip.
I don't have a such a thin tube but I do have a thin sharp tip on my iron and I can control the temp a bit.
As for panel lines I have seen some using a regular pencil but since this is a P40 with a brownish green top cover I am not sure how well will the pencil lines look.

Anyhow - any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you
Bobby

I saw an article somewhere where someone used blobs of glue, I think.
