Remember when we used to fly planes outdoors at a place called TEMAC?
Good times....
We were spoiled last summer. This rainy, windy, and cold weather can stop anytime.
The good old days........
Look at the stellar organization job in that battery box.
Just got called out to a job where I will be working outside possibly most the night..... imagine it might rain!
Perfect weather today guys. I did a long ride instead of flying today. Hope you enjoy the perfect weather!
I was at Hamilton Air Show. Awesome day. Not sure if F-18 or the Mosquito was the best?
I win.. Took my Dad for a ride in a glider. Then spent the evening at temac flying. I'm exhausted. Great day.
A few of us had a mini-float-fly with Robert Saturday afternoon/evening.
Afternoon shift at temac then picnicking with daughter. Great day!
Here are a few photos (for Ronnie - CF-18, and Bill - Mosquito) from the Airshow.......
Flew from Oshawa to Peterborough for lunch. Lots of kids getting their first taste of flight in a small aircraft at Oshawa Airport through the Young Eagles program (http://youngeaglesoshawa.org/ (http://youngeaglesoshawa.org/)). Great food and warm hospitality at the Peterborough Airport restaurant. And, of course, a perfect excuse to stop in at Pinnacle on the drive back from Oshawa. :)

What did you buy, Andy?

Now you've got me really groaning! The above, AND; FW-190, ME-262, AND...TWO HURRICANES! Nice photos Simon! Thanks...even if I missed it :-[
No need to pick a best...they're all magnificent! However, if I had to pick a favourite photo, I kinda like the WWII RAFers...what a formation!
The Mosquitos look epic :D
Nice photos. I intended to go to this , but it didn't work out. :'(
Missed two of my favourite warbirds - the Me262 and the Mosquito.
Both are replicas, but that only slightly diminishes their coolness
I have an old K&S models kit for the 262. One of these days I will have to put it together.

Pat,
Calling Mosquito KA114 (serial number assigned when the aircraft was built here in Toronto) a "replica" seems a bit harsh. KA114 is the aircraft which flew in the Hamilton Airshow this weekend. It was built at Downsview late in WWII, sold as surplus after the war and after passing through a couple of owners went through a lengthy restoration in New Zealand where it was given RNZAF markings.
Seeing the original (and the restoration)used a lot of wood, there's probably not much of the original material left in the restoration, but KA 114 has roots, history and de Havilland bloodline. A replica doesn't necessarily have any of these.
I thought it was like the Me262, made from scratch.
Thanks for the correction.
I did know it was made in the same fashion as the originals, not some sort of fibreglass replica.
(Or worse some sort of flying beer cooler in the shape of an airplane ;D)

Beer cooler in the shape of an airplane! Gotta find one of those! ;D
Easy to find them on the flight line at Rogo.......
(I have a couple myself as well :-[)
You guys can thank me for the perfect flying weather this morning. I injured my leg. Nothing serious, but there's no way I could load the car.
See you at Kingston next week!
Ben
Crazy weather. Had a car show at work and barely made it Home from the rain. It's now clear?
