Title: spectrum telemetry
Post by: imran1042 on August 20, 2013, 10:19:11 PM
Soo.. i just bought a DX8 which came with telemetry but i burnt out the telemetry module by accidentally plugging the voltage sensor into RPM, and it seems like i'm not the only one who has done that. Horizon said they will send me a new one but does anyone know if its temporary and the module will start working again or if it can be fixed somehow?

I don't think they heal themselves.

It's dead Jim...

actually its not dead Jim! Since it was already destroyed (or so i though) and horizon was sending me a new one, i decided  to experiment and when i plug the voltage sensor into the RPM again, the module turned on and start blinking but it doesn't do anything else.

Self healing electronics instructions:

Order replacement. Take damaged one and hit it 15.5 times with a heavy hammer.  Swear twice and try replacement.

...and I thought that zapping it with 1000V will bring it back ...it works on humans :)
