Title: rememberance day idea
Post by: flying IT on October 26, 2013, 11:05:50 PM
I was working on a slide show for remembrance day at work.  An idea popped into my head that would be cool.  An overflight of R/C WWII aircraft at sometime during the services like just after the 12th minute.

I very nice thought, similar to the flying we did on the anniversary of the Battle of Britain battle.

I would worry however, that it might be misconstrued as "playing with toys" during a serious and solemn event. Of course your intent is the opposite, but the general public, who isn't familiar with RC, probably wouldn't understand your intent and would find it distracting and possibly even offensive.

Maybe a group of us flying warbirds on the 11th at the club would be a better tribute.

that would work to.  yes there is a great possibility that it could be misconstrued.  would be curious what the legion thinks.
