Title: AstroFlite 110D peak charger for free
Post by: Ex14th on May 23, 2014, 03:15:14 PM
As the title says, this is from my NiCD/NiMH days, in new condition but time have changed.

Excellent condition, charges and discharges 24 cells. Will give it to Nestor (call sign Old RC'er) to take it to the TEMAC field for someone who is interested, or come and pick it up yourself.

Will ship it if you are willing to pay the actual postage.

Thx,

Alex

You can't even give it away, amazing.

Just to keep the threads going. ;D

If it peaks anyone's interest.  This charger can power a foam cutter.

I was wondering if it could do the foam cutting process but my search turned up no result. If indeed this can be made to cut foam I'm interested Alex. I will look tonight on the computer to confirm.

Yes it can. I just loaned mine to Rob for that very purpose. You just hold down the red button when you plug it in, and it goes into test mode. Then you adjust the voltage.

As Ben mentioned you put it into test mode and adjust the voltage.  I picked up the Astro 112D Digital at a swap meet for next to nothing, only to use for cutting foam.  Works great.

I am assuming it is the 110D Digital version with the red start button. This is the one you want.  The Deluxe was the last version. No start button. No way to put it into test mode.

Here is a pic of the version with the start button.

Hi Chris. On another totally unrelated topic, do you still have the Windex?

I sure do Alan.  You still remember it from the first York Electric Flight Expo.    A few hard landings over the years but repaired and hanging up on the racks.  Alas, the nimh packs that powered it have given up the ghost long ago.  I should upgrade the power system to lipos and brushless.
I did dress it up a little over the past winter, as I acquired a vinyl cutter.
See attached pic.
