Hi Jack. Noticed in one of your posts on the Mentor that you used wood inserts in the plastic bits that attach the struts to the floats.
Can you give me more details. I thought of doing the same thing as the plastic bits are fairly thin not leaving much 'stuff' for the screws to bite.
I'm thinking 1/4 ply with 6-32 or 4-40 anchor nuts.
