Hi All, I am looking at maybe building a P51 (A,B,C,or D) from scratch. Can anyone suggest where I can get some decent scaled plans?
I am thinking of doing a 42" wingspan (but flexible on that part).
Thanks,
Stephan
If you have never built from scratch then this would be quiet the challenge. The plan will assume a certain level of skill and knowledge and will be short on the "how to" information and the "what to do" will be pretty minimal. I would suggest a simpler build first such as the e-glider.
Jack.
You could try "Traplet" for a plan.
I have a set of House of Balsa .20 size P-51 plans. I believe it is 44" span. I flew it as an electric until last fall.
Let me know.
Frank
Thank you for your replies.
I look forward to seeing what I can do. I haven't built any planes yet, but hopefully my woodworking experience will help me.

Try Tony Nihuis Designs. The kits are excellent. He has a 61" designed last year.

Stephan,
Received your e-mail. I will look for the plans and instruction booklet on the House of Balsa P-51 (.20 size). You can borrow them and then get them back to me when you are finished (no charge).
Frank.
ps: I received your e-mail via your post but it disappeared when I wanted to reply. I work with wood and nails all day, not electronics and wiring. :D
Not built and not balsa but here's some motivation in the form of my latest Mustang project!
Check a website called outerzone. It's from the UK and they have two (2) P-51 in the size you are looking for. Download the full size plan to a usb device, then go to Staples and have it printed. Voila!
