Title: Nooner for sale! :)
Post by: wollins on September 19, 2014, 12:19:01 AM
Well the time has come for me to say a tearful farewell to my Nooner. It's served me well over the past couple of seasons but now its time to move on.

Although it has been crashed (like all the other Temac Nooners) it has been repaired to a state of stronger than new in my opinion. (I'm sure Robert Pike would agree since he did the repair! lol!) As a matter of fact it won one of the heats in the last race of the season a few weeks ago so she still has what it takes to win! ;)

Anyway, two options:

1. Airframe alone: $70
2. Airframe and three Hitec 65 servos. (they alone are worth $25 each) $110

I would strongly recommend that you take it with the servos since its trimmed (zero slop etc) perfectly already.  Anyone who has set up a plane like this knows how finicky it is to get the elevator servo installed and set up just right. Mine is not stock (the wire snake which can cause flex) but is in fact a CF control rod connection.

Thanks!

Colin

I'm surprised.

Great way for someone to join the race series in 2015

Colin
Your Nooner would be an excellent back-up pylon racer, as you could crash your No. 1 racer or have a mid-air, you never know.
My advise is keep it!!!
You can never have enough pylon racers. @wollins

Well, not for sale anymore ... demised.  :( That's what happens when you run 40+ amps through a 18A speed controller!  ;D

The ESC burned and took its internal BEC with it ... which resulted in no input control, which resulted in ...

Who would have thought the esc would fail with just twice its rated load.  They dont make stuff like they used to!

I simply love that you abused it to death Colin.  THATS how you find the limits!!!

Sorry for the loss though
