Title: Phoenix 1947 for sale
Post by: eric on November 12, 2014, 10:28:30 AM
I've got too many old timers so I'm selling a Phoenix 1947, an ARF similar to an old school Playboy. It comes with 2 Hitec 65 metal gear servos, 2826 brushless motor and an APC 9 x 4.7 prop. With a transparent red covering, a 60" wingspan and light wing loading its a beautiful, sedate flyer for playing in the thermals. $75.00.

A beautiful model.  I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it.

Oh man! That's a stunning looker, no wonder it sold so quickly! If I'd seen this earlier I would have snapped it up, looks like something that Mya (my daughter) could have learned to fly on eventually.

Yes, that's the beauty of old timers. Just rudder, elevator, and motor, they fly super slowly so they don't get ahead of a learner (or old eyes) and with all that dihedral, they self right as well. The perfect trainer.
