Congratz Adam!!
Mazel Tov Adam. Does she fly RC? ;D
Kevin's lower wing has 2 right sides? ;D
You know 2 wrongs don't make a right!
OH Shut up, you are all so picky.
And how come you two are moving in on Andy's territory?
Jack.
re: how come you two are moving in on Andy's territory?
Someone mention Andy?
Andy's territory is so big that, if it were exclusive to him, he would be the only person on this planet. ;D
It's open season.... especially since his season is coming up.
Frank
Hey! About building class the other night. I ended up with a set square, a metal ruler and a Skywritter bottom nose cover. I'm willing to let them go to a good home but they won't be cheap!
The bottom cover is mine.
Thank you.
Jack.
Oh I know it is....
Piker,
Jack slips this stuff into your equipment box so you have no choice but to attend the next meeting and bring the items back. :D

Well, I guess this is as good a place as any to talk about Andy's territory and Andy's season. He had it all to himself today. A shame considering the great flying conditions. Well, yes, it was a
bit cool (O
oC measured at the field), but wind chill was only -5
oC. And that's what snow-pants are for!! And yes, it was a
little breezy (20 kmh, gusting 32), but it was
straight down the runway. The downwinds were screaming hot, and landings were practically vertical with the headwind! And the sun did come out periodically. It doesn't get any better. Granted, the toilet seat in the Loo was pretty icy, but thankfully I didn't need to use it. (I'll bet the electric hand warmer from Oscar's transmitter
glove would do the trick (http://temac.ca/smf/index.php/topic,5046.0.html (http://temac.ca/smf/index.php/topic,5046.0.html)).) So there you go - a great day of mild winter flying - with full driveway access. And I finally won a Nooner Race!
OK Frank.
Go for it!!! Best regards, 'Snowballs Hoffer'
So Andy, I got this pair of "sno-pants" for my birthday.
They don't fit...now what do I do? ???
Graham
Oh yea, congrats on your Nooner race ;D
They look like rose coloured underwear rather than hand warmers.
LOL
Jack.
This reminds me of the film changing bag I used to use to get film out of a camera and into a light-tight can when the film accidentally pulled out of the cassette. I can't wait to do a photo essay of Graham when he models these at the Christmas party! ;D
Andy
Maynard Hil have made a request....
One of the band is interested in our models. They've asked if there will be any models.....
Let's bring some good stuff for show n tell!
Hi Guys,
Firstly, I would like to that Jack and Frank for the wonderful class, and it was a very encouraging lesson! I especially want to thank, Michael and Rob for helping me build the wings, that include the two "right-wings", as Michael commented! LOL! :D ;D!
Ques:
Jack mentioned that an E-flight Power 25 motor will be a good choice for this build, but there seems to be two versions, a 870kv and 1250kv model? So, for what I've read, the greater the kv, the greater the performance! However, I'm just a novice flyer here...I thing the 870kv version should suffice, but again what do I know? ???
Hi Kevin, I was referring to the 870 Kv.
jack.
The 1250kV motor is generally considered a high performance/racing motor Kevin.
Typically a lower kV motor can deliver just as much power as a high kV one but it does so in a different way.
A low kV motor will swing a larger diameter prop. And a larger diameter equals more thrust, which is better for overcoming drag and pulling heavier models. So for a biplane the low kV is better.
Hopefully I got that about right......
Thanks everyone, that's perfect, I'll get the 870kv motor! ;)
Don't forget to bring your old books and magazines for our Holiday Book Swap.....
Oh, and don't forget to practice singing the TEMAC Anthem! ;D
Your Treasurer will be more than happy to receive your 2015 dues and provide your 2015 membership cards at the Christmas Party / Annual General Meeting. ($80 for renewals / $110 for new memberships)
Money saved on postage will go to the Frank Van Beurden Home for Wayward Hobby Tools. ;D
Thanks!
