Title: Thrust vectoring
Post by: dangaras on March 12, 2015, 09:35:55 AM
Programming on a DX7 for a Vectored Thrust F-18 separate from other controls with an On/Off Switch.

1. Select the model you want on your TX
2. Access your programming functions
3. Toggle to MIX1
4. Set first selection to the left of the arrow to ELEV - The first selection is what controls the function.
5. Set the second selection to the right of the arrow to FLAP - This is the Vectored Thrust channel that you are slaving to your elevators.
6. Under RATE, set both values to -100. If when you are done and the movement is opposite of what you need then reverse the rate values. This is also your travel adjust for the Vectored Thrust so the more you program in the further they go.
7. Set SW: to FLAP2. This is a preference. With FLAP0 the TV works with the flap switch away from you. With FLAP2 the VT works with the switch towards you.
8. Toggle to MIX2
9. Choose ELEV for the first selection to the left of the arrow.
10. Choose AUX2 for the second selection to the right of the arrow.
11. Repeat steps 6 & 7
12. Toggle to MIX3
13. Choose AILE for the first selection to the left of the arrow.
14. Choose FLAP for the second selection to the right of the arrow
15. Repeat steps 6 & 7
16. Toggle to MIX4
17. Choose AILE for the first selection to the left of the arrow.
18. Choose AUX2 for the second selection to the right of the arrow
19. Repeat steps 6 & 7 but this time set the RATES to +100

I think André is giving an example of mixing, because at last night's meeting I was trying program differential power steering for my Albatross flying boat.

Yeah, No! No jets for me. Just an example to help Michael get going.
