I went to the field this morning. The condition is getting better. I am sure it will get better in couple more weeks.
Note: Vehicle will be difficult to get into the parking lot.
On behalf of the Board let me put out a word of caution.
Every year at this time we have members who believe that their vehicles can defy the laws of physics. They believe that their vehicle has the ability to fly over mud that they have just sunk their boots in. Every year we have to repair the ruts made as they try to free themselves and the tow truck they called to get them out. Don't be that member, wait until we give the all clear. I know there is a pent up desire to fly outdoors but let's be smart about it.
This ground will be deceptively soft for a few weeks so please do not drive on the gravel or the road way. All you are doing is being selfish because you push the gravel down and raise the mud. This, in turn, forces us to buy new gravel in order to maintain the road and parking lot.
Think of the other members before you do something selfish.

Just to reinforce Jacks comments, and to use this thread as an opportunity for the annual reminder, I think it's easy for us to forget just how soft the earth is under the gravel that we enjoy as a solid driveway during the summer. That driveway and parking area (especially the parking area) of ours are nothing more than some gravel over a farm field. It does not have the foundation that a properly prepared roadway or driveway has. Remember, just 10 years ago, the TEMAC field was a plowed farm field.
Please wait for the official opinion of the Board before using the driveway and parking area
This morning, I parked at the entrance of the field / stouffville road and walked to the field. I did see tire marks along the gravels. (Guess someone already tried to get in earlier)
