Title: 2015-41 TEMAC Tickler, Pylon Race and a Glider Challenge
Post by: Papa on July 20, 2015, 09:03:25 PM
I named this Glider Challenge the P&IMK in honour of two of our members who are in Croatia. Pat and Ivan McKenzie have long devoted their time and finances to represent Canada in a number of disciplines in the hobby. They are there for the World Championships and I want them to know that TEMAC is behind them and wishes them lots of thermals at the Worlds.

They would have split a gut laughing with us and at our frantic efforts to make it look like we knew what we were doing. The fun was we didn't but had a great time anyway. The weather was brutal with the humidex in the low 40's. With the kind of flying weather we have had lately we had to make the best of it.

Thank you to all the volunteers:
Andy Hoffer: Cook and Canteen Provider.
Graham McNicol: Field Preparation, Timer, Care giver to the "Old Fart".
Greg Hazelton: Photographer.
Timi Hazelton: Field layout.
Grace Hazelton: Field Layout and Pylon Starter.
Dr. John Cocker: Bribeable Judge.
Jim Spence: Bribeable Judge.

:P  Man it was hot/melting weather....  ;D but so much fun.... :)
I'm thinking some of the competitors of the glider mayhem
did more running in that short time than they have done in years.
it was great fun to watch.
The wind brought out the best skills in our pilots.

I was looking for an oxygen tent after that "how many in 10" contest.
