Have started to build the Mr. Shifter, a 60" span .60 size aerobatic pattern plane that looks like the result of a midair collision between a Great Planes Super Sportster and my .25 size Chilli Breeze pattern plane I was flying earlier this year. It is low wing, with flaps, turtle deck and a tail dragger. Will put in the Turnigy .60 liberated from Dr. John at the MAAC AZM.
I built this plane about 15 years ago and flew great with an OS .61 but it had to be flown at least 75% throttle otherwise the engine would cut out. All 30 landings were dead-sticks. At least it has wheels! :D
The stab bones are done. Will bring it to Wednesday's build class so Piker and I can be "duelling builders".
The plans show half a wing and half a stab/elevator. I will show you how to draw full-span plans of each in less that 5 minutes without the use of a photocopier.
