Title: Flying Tuesday afternoon/evening June 14 ???

The weather has been very poor (wind!!!) the last few days, and I feel I haven't flown enough yet this season.

So far, the forecast for Stouffville for Tuesday June 14 is 21 degrees (cooler in the evening), and 10km wind from the north, basically perfect flying conditions.

I'd like to go fly from 4 pm to dusk, and I'll confirm with my office tomorrow.

Anyone else interested?

Tuesday is the best weekday forecast of the week, and non-student flying is not allowed on Wednesday evening.

Someone must be able to go fly on Tuesday ....

Jim, John and I were out flying this morning as part of the dedicated 'morning crew' ensuring that the club field is being used.  It was cool but very tolerable and enjoyable. Wind was straight down the runway.

If nobody will come out to play with you tomorrow night, I will make it a double header and get out in the evening too.  (One can never get enough flying in.) 

The forecast does look promising.  See you tomorrow night.   ;D

Don Duthie and I are planning to be there from a little earlier.
It's got to be a holiday somewhere tomorrow... ;D

Well I was there from about noon to 2pm and other than the fact that the wind kept changing direction every 30 seconds or so, conditions were near perfect.  Got in about six flights (four of which were with my TWO CL-415 water bombers) and got some rust off my fingers. :) Did a vid of one of the flights (the big CL-415) which I'll post over in its thread later on.  Ahhh ... ya gotta love Summer! ;D

Sorry we missed you Colin.

I arrived at about 3:30 and there were a few people there, but there were about 15 to 20 people by 6 and 7 pm. The weather was great and so many people had a great time.

Robert Pike perfectly encapsulated the afternoon/evening: "Michael asks people to come out to fly, and it turns out to be a funfly?"
