Title: Flitetest Arrow
Post by: Crazyflyer on August 03, 2016, 11:00:37 AM
I picked up an Arrow at Flitefest this year and used an old quad motor and set it up for 4S!
Here are the specs in case anyone is interested:
- Maytech 2204-2300
- 20amp Maytech esc and 5v bec for the receiver (quad esc's don't have bec's).
- I am using 5040 quad props (5") but will try a 6" or tri-blade, because I want more speed out of it.
- Hxt500 servos, although I am not sure how long they will last. (I also added a couple of winglets in front of the servos to avoid ripping them out in an upside down landing (talking from experience on the maiden))
I hate these Maytech motor because of the short prop adapter, took it off my quad because on one motor the prop adapter screws stripped the motor bell in a crash.
Should be fun though!!

I had a quick maiden to make sure it flew, I just had to raise the elavons a bit but overall was quite nice and very responsive.
Julien has one as well on 3S that he built during Flitefest and it flew very nicely, and I thought 4s would be much faster, but not really sure until they fly side by side.
