Well, I now have even more respect for Master Snowballs!
I decided to try flying my wing because of the clear sky today, I forgot to pay attention to the 29kph wind and -8deg Celsius. 1 battery and my hands were frozen! I am still glad I went out, I just need gloves with fingers cut out and some more advice from Andy!

This morning I drove pass the Rogo field. The snow bank is pretty high. I doubt my car can go through.
I did noticed there are tire track outside the side road and I saw foot print towards our flying field. The foot print ended midway. I guess the person decides to just fly there.
I did see the foot print walked back towards to road. At least whoever went there did come back. 8)
Shouldn't be a problem driving in but be careful, You may need a "real" 4x4 to drive back out. A couple of winters ago, my Jeep Patriot 4x4 got stuck on the way out and needed a tow. :-[
Actually it was me that trekked through half way. There is 2' of hard packed snow at the entrance, unless you have a hummer, you aren't going in!!
Thin but full gloves work well but you need to over insulate your body to make up for the heat losses. So full coveralls or snow pants with a good coat and many layers to stop the wind and cold penetrating. Real winter boots to!
Ive had great success with this type of outerwear and very thin gloves so you can still feel the radio in your hands. The trick is make your body so hot your cooling only your hands and you'll be fine! Also remember to have your batteries in a heated insulated bag. I use an old camera bag with a microwavable heat pack. I heat it a cycle and get the packs warm before I venture out then refresh the heat pack just before I go out.
