Title: What a Weekend for a Holiday Fly
Post by: BJROB on February 19, 2017, 02:13:18 PM
I could not take the awesome weather and not fly ;D
I have a Lite Hawke---Swift---  its a floaty type plane ???
I thought I'd have some fun running across the snow with it at the field
I got there around 230 pm the snow was too soft and mushy. So I tossed it into the wind
Well this one is and older version of the Swift so its a bit under powered.
Well I had a great time the run way was open enough to scoot across.. the wind was a bit much.
Crashing // :o  // landing was great fun.... no damages as the snow took all the shock when it
was not so smooth a landing 8)
Just cant wait.... :P

BJ, Sounds like a successful outing.  I have that same feeling that Spring is just around the corner.  Can't wait to get out and fly outdoors too!  It won't be long.  Happy Family Day.

Good for you BJ. Thought of going myself, but that north wind looked crazy strong. This afternoon looks promising at this point. Anyone going today?
