Title: Mitchells taking off
Post by: octagon on July 10, 2017, 10:41:20 PM
Pretty quiet on the forum, and I know this has nothing to do with model aircraft, but this is pretty neat, and we are all airplane guys. I was at the Canadian Warplane Heritage a few weeks ago and their Mitchell was doing fast low speed passes. Always loved this plane.

I also have a soft spot for the Mitchell, Rob. Many years ago I saw a documentary called "Mitchell's do fly in IMC" about 4 Mitchell's flying across the Atlantic to film a movie in the U.K. Fab program and an amazing aircraft.

Thanks for sharing Rob!

re: the head-on shots of the take-off... notice the significant yaw on some of the planes once they break ground.  Wonder if there was a crosswind during the take-off scene.

Thanks Rob.
