Title: Eclipse Photos
Post by: battlestu on August 21, 2017, 03:29:03 PM
Seems like a good part of the company was outside trying to catch a glimpse and i thought i'd share some the photos we were able to capture. Was also wondering if anyone else got some good shots?

Best one I have seen is the International space Station passing by it.  See it at https://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/articles/international-space-station-crosses-solar-eclipse-2017-nasa/85322/

These are great Greg!  The cloud adds some really nice moodiness to the photo.

Way to go!

I took this using an iphone and a welders eye shield.  The "clouds" are not real clouds, I think - they are some kind of flaring in the image capture.

Didn't Ed once post a moon picture, which Ben then eclipsed?

Ok my turn!
The first picture shows the sun without the strong filter and the one with the filter using the same zoom length.
It is crazy how small it really is in the sky compared to what we think we see and how much it is able to light up!
