Title: Safety first for kids and pets
Post by: Gregor77 on December 29, 2017, 07:55:03 AM
So Sophia, "Lubi" has been lingering around the planes a bit. I noticed her favourite activity is spinning the props. Which this is a no no. APC props are very sharp and can cut her hand. There is also a risk of a prop strike to the head. So is there a simple method to cover the props?  I don't want to take the props off as this weakens the prop adapters and unbalances things again. The cat is a whole different issue as he chews the tips. I just can't win. Lol

I would think the best thing would be to take the props off. I can't see it weakening the adapter to any degree and the balance would not be affected . Also if the cat does chew the end of the blade, there you will get some unbalance happening. It's a bit of a pain I guess Greg, but if you are concerned it is probably the best way.
