Title: Horizon Hobbies heard us. The New Apprentice STS
Post by: Frank v B on August 02, 2019, 05:39:42 PM
Was at John's Hobbies today.  Roger mentioned that he received a call from a Horizon Hobbies rep.  Roger factually told him the frustrations we have been having with the new Apprentice with SAFE problems, all the dumb "smart" features and programming the TX's.  He said they had received a lot of "feedback"  (read as "pissed-off instructors") and are launching the new Apprentice STS.

The main thing is the plane now comes dumbed down (still not enough in my opinion) and the features have to be added via plug-ins.  Currently it is the reverse.

Just released on the Horizon website.  https://www.horizonhobby.com/apprentice-sts-15e-bnf-basic-with-safe-15m--p-efl3750

I am glad because I don't have much more hair that I can pull out dealing with the new Apprentii (plural of Apprentice?)

I feel like Horizon Hobbies has spent the last 3 years making smart technology look really stupid!  Did they work on the 737 Max 8 as well?  :-X
