Rolls Royce, 300mph, 200 mile aeroplane.
It's a start. I wonder what will be the norm in 20 years time?

WOW!
What a beauty
Anybody else think this would make a great Foamie?
Looks a lot like the Nemisis NXT
Sure does look like the Nemisis NXT! In fact, I think the Nemisis NXT looks nicer? Maybe because it's in flight and has a propeller, where as the RR is in a hangar with no prop and photographed with a wide angle lens? Of course, the real point is - Electric!' !!!!
Either way, the NXT look very sleek and - yes - would make a nice foamie :-)
The question is how many watts do we need to make a model go 300mph...!
I've flown 200 mph so 300 just seems like the next goal lol

No watts. All you need is the backside of a slope and 50-60mph winds.
Get 100 MPH winds and you can hit 600 MPH ;)
But to get your 200 MPH model up to 300 MPH it will take approx 3.375 time the power you had.
(Drag goes up by the square of the speed, power = speed times drag, so power goes up by the cube of the change in speed)

So it is indeed based off the Nemisis airframe.
That Pat guy is pretty smart so I figure he is pretty much in the ballpark. The thing I like best is that he never said it couldn't be done!!! ;D ;D
