Hi all
I hope everyone one is safe and we are keeping busy at home.
Since we are all currently grounded and unable to socialize I thought it maybe an idea to host an event (multiplayer mode) on real flight simulator. Horizon Hobby has been doing a similar thing on Friday evenings.
I'm not to sure who of us are tech savvy. But if you have Realflight 8-9 on your computer and I internet connection you can come join me. I also suggest have some speakers and a mic so we can chat.
I'm thinking about hosting this Saturday April 25th at around 1400.
Any thoughts or questions?
Paul
I'll give that a shot... count me in.
Cool! I'll be there!
Guess I need to get RealFlight!
I have Phoenix
Real Flight 9 with the controller is out of stock locally, but the disk without the controller is available.
Will the program work with the older RF controller?
Can I somehow use a real Spektrum transmitter?

You can, but you need one of these... a WS2000 Wireless Simulator USB Dongle.

Try Hobby Hobby.
I've not used this dongle.
Will give it a shot. See you all on Saturday
Anyone using FrSky/Opentx just needs to buy the Realflite software.
The transmitter will work as a joystick through the USB port.

Thanks Pat, but I bought the software and the Spektrum dongle.
I'll install everything, and practice a bit, and I'll happily participate.
Did this take place today?
Not that I'm aware of.
It did but it was at 7pm. It was really fun. I asked Paul to reorganize again.
Good idea to have another one... but let people know about it.
Yes please.
Also, I have RF9, but I would need some instructions on how to connect.

Run RF9, and in the menu, choose Multiplayer, and then Join. It'll do a bunch of things, and may ask you to confirm allowing a port through your Firewall. I'm using Windows 10. Eventually, it will present you with a Server List... existing sessions to join.
I imagine whomever is setting up as host will post and name, and maybe a password, here to let us know what's going on.
You can also join any session listed to try out other sites. E.g. There is Florida Sunshine session you can join - nice runways.
Hello,
That's the instruction from Paul. I followed it and it works/
Good to post details here as well... I stay away from Facebook.
According to KnifeEdge posts I've read, Multiplayer now extends to Version 7 and on
Awesome! Can't wait for the next one!
