Any motor re-winders in TEMAC?
A friend has a HIMAX CR3615 tandem/coaxial setup that he would like to get rewound from 1030 kV to something like 600 - 630 kV.
This is for control line F2B/stunt. The example shown below is from one of the Polish pilots at the last W/C.
It uses a geared in-runner, the gear noise and/or the interactions between the two prop washes made what to me was a horrible racket!
( I don't mind a bit of noise from my F2D combat models ;D, but electrics should be quiet. )
But there are said to be advantages in speed control, particularly on the down lines.
Thanks,
Pat MacKenzie
A got an electric motor kit for Christmas in 1969. I spent the next several years winding and re-winding and never got it to run. Still... I loved that kit.
I still have a few of these motor kits from Komodo :)
Never did try winding one. :-[
I did rewind a couple of very small for indoor flying, to use on a DIY 3D printed contra drive. Same reason, needed a lower kV.
They did work fine, but would not say I know what I am doing well enough to try the F2B drive.

Very cool.
D'oh! I missed the "1969" part :-[
If you still have a desire to make a motor that will run, this one is pretty easy. No winding required ;D

I found some more motor kits that I have , these ones are Scorpion so they are LRK style instead of CD rom.
Perhaps I will try my hand at winding some of them.
