So the forecast said there'd be no rain until 3 pm today, but when I emerged from my underground parking garage around noon, a shower had already started. I figured it was a localized shower (downtown Toronto), and perhaps it would be clear up at the field. Wrong. I was determined to get a flight in anyway so I flew the plane in a light shower, and the rain didn't affect the plane at all. But it was cold and wet so I landed and loaded the plane in the car, cranked up the heater and headed home.
Nice to know a light rain doesn't affect the electric motor operation.

Protect your esc/receivers, but it might affect their cooling/heat dissipation abilities
Of course, there are always those very drastic alternatives to flying in the rain:
1. flying your RC flight sim on the computer to sharpen your aerobatics skills, OR
2. hunkering down in the shop for plane maintenance and repairs or new builds, OR
3. (the MOST drastic alternative of all: cleaning up your workbench and shop. ;D
(Wind driven rain (which is electrically conductive) and electronics do not make good bed fellows!)
