Title: Spring has Sprung
Post by: Andy Hoffer on March 17, 2021, 07:28:54 PM
Rob Dickinson (@octagon) provided fabulous eye candy today with his gorgeous nostalgic St. Patrick's Day Cessna 120 "Boiling Bacon" air express courier.

Beautiful inspirational job Rob.  Perfect complement to a fantastic spring flying day at TEMAC.

Nice looking airplane Rob, nicely done. How does it fly?

Thanks Andy for the pictures, and thanks Ken for the kind words. It is a Ken Taylor design from about 20 years ago. It flies very well, is easy to land and tracks well. It has quite a light wing loading and so it floats well. Gets kicked around a bit in strong wind. I am happy with the way it turned out.

More great eye candy from Rob Dickinson.  @octagon 's Unionville Beaver looked sensational in the clear blue skies today.

@Michael and Glenn (@electroflyer) put on a great show with their beautiful Dynam Gloster Meteor twin jets today (Friday Mar 19 2021).

Glenn did some impressive runway shear strength tests with his Douglas AD-4 Skyraider.

And @Frank v B's pylon racer made a valiant attempt to escape from the van hangar, but couldn't resist the temptation to chase Rob's Beaver.

We had nine pilots at the field this afternoon enjoying the fantastic weather on the last day of winter!

Beautiful day today!

It started out a bit cold with a brisk west wind, which gave way to very mild north winds, warm sun shining down, and a cloudless blue sky.

Only a few members were out, but they did a lot of flying!
