Andy,

That is a landing gear lock for removable landing gear on 900mm span FMS warbirds.
I checked my new little Corsair and both are still in place.
If no-one claims it I will take it as a spare.

This level of knowledge is too scary! You definitely need some more jobs to keep you from focusing on RC minutiae and commiting parts lists to memory!! :o
