Title: A beautiful Day at TEMAC- Victoria Day, May 24- 2021
Post by: Frank v B on May 24, 2021, 06:15:57 PM
One of the nicest days possible...happened today.  Sunny, dropping windspeed and members dropping by.

Photo report.

06- How Simon prefers his ESCs- fried!
07- Glenn and his plane.
08- Andy assembling his plane
09- No Andy, the wings don't go there!   His impersonation of "The Flying Nun".
10- Greg dropped by.
12- Glenn and his Ballistic Floater.
13- Simon with his new jet discussing leaf blowers with Greg.
16- Glenn flying his Floater (Sig Riser 100)
18- No idea what Andy is doing.  "Running on the spot?"
22- Michael and his Albatross
24- My E-Flite Beaver and Michael's Twin Otter.
25- Line-up of Canadian liveried airplanes.
27- Glenn after a flying session.

Great kick-off to the limited opening up of our world.

Thanks Guy.

Interesting to see Andy's photo of Simon's Provost maiden flight.  It looks so realistic.  Note the elevator is in the full "up" position for a flight that left my hand at 6.5 foot altitude and gently bellied in about 100 feet later.  The solution is obvious: either get more power or get a much taller launcher....on stilts. ;D

@Frank v B is being far too modest!  The elegance and poise of his launches of @sihinch 's Provost  were consistent throughout the extended time series, giving Simon ample opportunity to test a whole suite of techniques for lighting off the scale afterburner, which succeeded on the last flight.  A perfect prelude to the Victoria Day fireworks that night!  ;D
