A beautiful day. Mild winds, hot temperature, cool flying!
The photos:
17- a new guy at the field. Graham flying for the first time in two years. Great to have him back.
18- Mike Brodey back at flying despite his eye problems.
19- Eric "I build what I fly as long as it's an old design" Wedseltoft. His son Andre has been a long time supporter of TEMAC.
20- Graham wondering what these wiggly things do at the back of the plane.
22- Concentration plus. He did manage to smile several times.
23- Scary moment. Mike Brodey's plane caught fire after he reconnected the battery. The ESC was completely fried.
24- When I saw flames coming out of Mike's plane I found this red thing in my car. Did not have to use it. Used the side cutters to clip the ESC wires. The Dean's connectors had been arc-welded together. Clipping the wires was the only option (5S 3000 mah battery and a .46 motor).
25- Farmer Graham setting a new standard of dress.
27- My DC-3 before the maiden attempt.
28- The walk of shame to an Australian landing.
30- still in one piece.
31- Max re-installed his fixed motor and new ESC and his plane flew again.
32- Mark and Karl comparing notes.
33- Das Minimoa. Tough to fly but will be fine after some adjustments.
34- Graham doing his best to become the centrefold in the next MAAC magazine.
35- Mark having a great time.
38- Kenny showed up with his new plane. Trimmed out and flying.
39- Simon Chapman photobombing Mark's attempt at taking a photo of some guy.
41- Michael showed up for the afternoon shift
42- David suffering through another great day in paradise.
43- Simon Chapman with his barely subsonic FX racer.
45- Vic saying his Sunday morning prayer... for a safe and good flight.
46- Michael inspecting the retracts on his leaf blower.
oops. Forgot the photo of Karl (36)

And a few more...
Michael's Hangar 9 Beaver... wind doesn't bother this one.
Glenn's Habu... V1
Andy's E-flite Beaver
A new member... already has his wings...
And... you all know flying Mode 1 or Mode 2? This is Glenn Mode. This is what you get with a well trimmed glider... and a thermal!
Love David's photo 5502 of Glenn's Habu.
All 3 wheels are exactly the same distance off the ground ...about an inch.
F.
Agreed... never saw that through the lens... but when going through the pics at home I saw that image and said... very cool.
Fantastic day at the field!
Great photos
@davidk . Thanks so much for capturing my E-flite Beaver.
Your smooth panning and shutter speed selection in all of your photos are excellent, providing superb prop blur accompanied by sharp images of the moving aircraft. Bravo!
