Title: Training Wednesday, July 7 5pm-8pm
Post by: Frank v B on July 04, 2021, 10:22:45 PM
I will be at the field for training night this coming Wednesday....regardless of the weather.

Andy notified me that the forecast calls for rain.... so I will bring an RC boat. ;D

Frank

ps: there was no snow in the forecast so I am good to go! ;)

If @Frank v B  brings a boat with a shallow draft, say 9 mm, this should work nicely!  ;D

Can't wait to see his post - with photos - with fill flash!

I have to concede this one to @BJROB .  The WX forecast was a total failure.  Lots of stiff NE wind but NO rain!  I was SO looking forward to sharing some great photos of @Frank v B sailing his RC boat in the driveway puddles while "decked out" in his Sou'wester.  Please forgive me.  I will have a chat with the WX guys at NavCanada and see if we can't get this rectified.

On a positive note I got a chance to play instructor and save Mike Veit from instructional trauma with Frank.  Thanks @Mike Veit !!  8)

Cheers!

It was a good evening.  No snow, no rain.  The weather forecast was wrong and ignoring it was the right thing to do... again.

Students Max, Mike, Jan, Paul, Ami got in lots of flights.
Supporting instructing staff of Oscar, Vadim, Philip and Andy.
Supporting ground crew of Mark and BJ.

The photo report:
45: BJ explaining proper distancing and Mark thinking "It's still too close!"
46: Mike ready for flight. Ami in the background getting ready.
47: Max not knowing what the evening has in store but it contained a lot of swearing.... when transmitters....don't.
48: Andy after his perfect Australian landing....but on the wrong continent.
49: no-one I know.
50: This photo tells all: BJ "I know nothing", Max trying to decide whether to hit his TX with a 3 lb or 5 lb hammer, Mark thinking "I dare you Max.  Either one will do".
51: This looks like Andy was caught trying to steal a transmitter.
52: Max and BJ trying to figure it out.
53: Vadim came down from his 54 floor office to help us out.
54: Andy cleaning out his ears.  I'm surprised the aerial tip didn't come out his other ear.
56: Jan prepping my next repair post "How to repair a broken Apprentice".
57- broken wing.
58: The fourth tail break of the Club Trainer.
62: Paul trying to show Oscar how to hold a transmitter... or is it the reverse.  Thanks for teaching tonight Oscar.
63: Is this the look of a happy man or what?
64: Philip and his Ulimate.  Thanks for instructing again tonight, Philip.
65- Kenny and his colourful jet.  Great flying.
