Title: HobbyZone Carbon Cub found
Post by: davidk on August 22, 2021, 05:37:10 PM
This is to Mike V (I believe).

Vadim located your Cub via FPV and Oscar performed retrieval via FP.  Oscar asked if I'd look after it... since... well... I'm pretty much at the field every day.

I couldn't quite manage it in my car, so it's in the storage bin.  Fit in perfectly.

Oscar unplugged the battery and it looks like it's in good shape.  Pick it up at your leisure.

Cheers,

David

Wow - that's great news  ;D  Thanks Vadim, Oscar and Carlos for the rescue mission!  That's much appreciated.

Lessons learned
- Oscar was right when he said I should fly faster.  Didn't fully appreciate how close to stall I really was.
- The crash site looks much farther away from the pits than it really is.  We were looking much farther away on Saturday.  Should have checked on a map before strolling in the beans.  Maybe I'll laminate a map for the next time ;)
