Spring officially hits us Sunday, March 20 at 11:33 am. I will be there to make sure it arrives at Rogo Field. I will bring a broom to ceremoniously sweep away both a terribly long winter and Covid. There. Take that!!
It is one of those "I'll be there no matter what the weather brings". Also, I will be biting into a Tim's Donut at the exact time. A Canadian thing to do!
Oh, yes. I will be bringing some airplanes, doing some flying and just generally absorbing the sun's rays and the TEMAC fun rays.
Frank
ps: please be careful of the runway. Stay off it while the earth thaws and before before water can drain away.
Here is hoping for great weather.
Guy
Frank! For all your help, can I get the coffee and donuts? Assorted 12 (Any pref) and a box of coffee? Can't wait, see you there!
Greg,
Thanks for your generous offer. Bring whatever you wish. Please make sure there is a Hawaiian Donut in the box for Sophia. ;D
Frank
Frank. Great idea. See you there.
Hoping to come out too! :D
Going to try and make it out
Please remember, flyers must have their 2022 membership paid.
I'll be there aa well.
Hoping to shake some rust off
hoping it doesnt hail, Hail NOT Caesar
I will be there at 11 am. tomorrow no matter what the weather brings. The forecast shows plus 8 and includes some stuff coming from the sky. !00% guaranteed this will not be the weather.
If you're an optimist, bring an RC plane. :)
If you are a pessimist, bring an RC boat. ;D
11:33 am will be donut time to usher in spring.
David K. reports that all the snow is gone from the runway and the driveway will be muddy. Please do not walk on the runway!!!
Frank
I'll be there too, likely with no planes though :-)
No boats either.
I will drop by and say: "Hello"!
Are life jackets available?
Guy
Well... spring arrived and was ushered in by the Dirty Baker's Dozen of TEMAC. Those in attendance were:
- Cadez and Sophia, Mandeep, Geoff, Mark, Karl M., Guy, Mike Brodey, Rob D., Andy, Jan, Adam, Carlos.
Thanks for the donated donuts and Timbits.
Will post the photos after dinner. Got work to do. >:(

How was the field?

How was the field?
@Michael field is wet, bring life jacket. ;)
Sure was fun to see people again !!
I got there late (had to watch the F1) and had the field to myself! The sky was blue but it was breezy.
I had one flight with my repaired Tundra and then came home for a cuppa! Nice to fly though! 😃
Here are the photos:
38- Adam Maas, past MAAC Zone L director, dropped by. He doesn't need a plane to have fun. Note Mike Brodey in the background . He was considerate enough to walk around the runway to retrieve his airplane.
39- Our troubled twins- Cadez and Andy.
40- Mark Satin and Geoff.
41- Carlos wondering why he came out... and then he remembered.
42- Mike Brodey had a flight with his cardboard racer.
43- Sophia wondering when her dad (Cadez) was finished talking so she could go home.
44- Guy behind the mask- dressed like an OPP officer with wings.
45- there was a smiler behind Guy's mask. The camera couldn't believe it and made the photo fuzzy.
46- Rob Dickinson polished off his smiler.
47- Jan dropped by.
48- my 11:33 am donut... as promised.
Frank
ps Michael- re field conditions- almost all the snow was gone. Only a few mounds remained. The runway was clear. The road was wet and muddy but drivable....exactly as David said it would be when I called him yesterday for a status.
