Title: Balsa Crashes - Foam Board Repairs
Post by: bweaver on January 21, 2023, 12:28:02 PM
Do you have any damaged fuselages lying around?

Try some easy, strong repairs.

I think the photos are self explanatory.

(for some reason the photos aren't in order but most can figure it out)

These are absolutely fabulous photos Bruce, thank you for the brilliant idea. I'd have never thought of that.

Bruce,

The repairs definitely exceed the 50/50 test*.

It is hard to explain to people that the maiden flight on a re-build is about almost as satisfying as seeing your own creation's original successful maiden flight.  Worth the work.  Thanks for posting.

Frank

* if you cannot see the repair at 50 feet and 50 km/hr it is perfect.

Sounds like the slogan for "Earl's Discount Auto Body" in a shady part of Etobicoke. 😀
