Title: Yes... the hobby is in dire straits... not !
Post by: davidk on March 16, 2023, 10:19:49 AM
This from Horizon just now...

Aermacchi MB-339 60-85N ARF Turbine Jet ARF, 84" : $1,600 US.

She's a stunner at $2G's CDN which includes nothing.

I don't think Hangar 9 got the message that our hobby is declining... not.

David,

re: $2,000 jet.

Everything in life is relative.

For someone who just crashed a $40,000 jet it is an ultra cheap way to get back on his horse. See video.

I worked on a house last year that was going on the market at $6.7 million.  Someone asked me who could afford to buy it.  My instant answer was "someone who is trying to downsize from a $15 million house."

In marketing strategy we know that when a market matures, the demand curve goes to opposite ends (super luxury and super value) and the middle drops out.  That's what is happening here.

...but you posted it so we could explain to our spouses how value conscious Temac members really are. ;)
